For parents and guardians
Study help you can feel good about
HighSchoolQ gives high school students clear lessons, flashcards, cheat sheets and games, explained several ways until one clicks. Here is what you should know.
Accounts are opening soon. Everything free works today with no account. The account steps below describe how they will work at launch.
Safe by design
- No ads, ever. We do not sell your family’s information or show advertising.
- No chat, no public profiles. Students cannot message or see other students.
- Very little data. Students can read every lesson without an account. Accounts need only an email (or, for students under 13, just a nickname).
- No tracking across other sites. We use no advertising cookies or trackers.
Students under 13
Some younger students take high school classes early. If your child is under 13, you set up the account and manage it:
- You enter your email and create a parent account.
- You add your child with a nickname only. We never ask for their email, photo or location.
- Your child studies from a simple sign-in that you control. You can see, export or delete their information any time.
Students 13 and older can create their own account and, if they want to upgrade, they can send a parent a secure payment link, so you never have to share a card.
What it costs
- Free: all lessons, notes, memory tricks and cheat sheets, plus sample practice for every topic.
- Free account: 50 extra questions and 2 hours of practice time every month.
- Plus: $9.99 per month or $79 per year for unlimited practice. Cancel in two clicks, with a full refund within 7 days of any charge. See pricing and refunds.
How you can help
- Ask your teen to teach you a topic. Explaining it out loud is one of the best ways to learn it.
- Encourage short sessions spread over several days rather than one long cram. Our study methods page explains why.
